Newsflash: Cape Town Deeds Office Arrangements

Due to the growing risk of Covid infections, the Deeds Office notified all conveyancers on Friday night, that as from Monday 5 July 2021, only 30% of Deeds Office personnel will be permitted in the Deeds Office.

To the degree possible, those in the Deeds Office who can, will be required to work from home.

Therefor - please be forewarned to expect delays in registrations.

The number of conveyancers allowed in the Deeds Office, will also be limited to 50: 30 in execution room (where deeds are registered) and 20 elsewhere.

The Deeds Office has called for input from the legal fraternity, to make recommendations, on how they can all cooperate, in order to try and minimize loss of functionality.

We echo the request from the Deeds Office to please bear with us all in the expected slower transfer process.
