Goedehoop Suburb in Strand - Convenient Living Below R3 Million.

Goedehoop is a well-established residential suburb in the Strand and Helderberg area of Cape Town.

Location.

Goedehoop is located in the Strand between the Lourens River on the western side and Main Road on the eastern side. It stretches from Broadway Boulevard (south) to Aerodrome Road (northern border).

Lifestyle Offerings.

The Goedehoop suburb offers a convenient suburban lifestyle due to its close proximity to most amenities. For families the walking distance proximity to high and primary schools as well as crèches is very appealing. A convenience shopping centre and a community sport centre is also within a few hundred meters from all the suburb’s homes – whilst a private hospital, Strand beach, two Virgin Active Gyms and Strand Golf Club are all located within 2 kilometres from the suburb.

The area in and around Goedehoop boasts with beautiful mountain views, ample public open spaces for doggie walks or just strolling or jogging e.g. along the Lourens River. The green belt bordering Goedehoop includes a protected bird sanctuary (Dick Dent) – and is effectively enlarged with the adjacent Strand golf course.

The Dam Park opposite Strand High school is managed and maintained as part of a community based initiative and aims to keep the natural biology of the wetland as an intact ecosystem.

Amenities In & Around Suburb.

Strand High School is located in Goedehoop (along Sarel Cilliers Street) and Lochnerhof Primary school is a mere 710m away down Sarel Cilliers Street. There are a variety of creches available in and around the suburb – with the SpeelKasteel nursery, pre-primary and after school facility probably the most well-known one.

The SPAR shopping centre is located in Goedehoop on Broadway Boulevard whilst The Sanctuary Shopping Centre (which includes a Woolworths, Pick & Pay and a variety of eateries as well as a Virgin Active Gym is 1,6 km away. The Gants Virgin Active Gym is only 1 km from Goedehoop.   

3 Petrol filling stations are located in or close to Goedehoop - B.P Helderberg is on Broadway Boulevard, Engen Strand is 1,2 km and Caltex Careno 1,2 km away.

Strand S.A.P.S (Police) are 1.7 km from Goedehoop.
