Calypso Beach

Calypso Beach suburb in Langebaan is a well-established and upmarket and gated residential suburb with beautiful sea views and its own “private beach”. Calypso Beach consist of 338 own title or freehold houses and have no apartments (sectional title properties).

Location

Calypso Beach is located on the Northern side of Langebaan and is bordered by Club Mykonos Resort to the North, the Waterfront Estate to the South and Blue Lagoon Estate on the inland side

The suburb borders runs from Carpathos Road (close to the Boesmansland Plaaskombuis) all the way down to the Waterfront suburb.  Between the Calypso Beach and Waterfront suburbs (which are both fenced and secure) is a green belt with access to the beach for the public and holiday makers. The only access road to Calypso Beach is via Casos Road going pass the Blue Lagoon Estate.

Lifestyle Offerings

One can find a range of social activities bordering Calypso Beach with Hobie Beach and the Waterfront suburb, Club Mykonos and the Atlantic yachting and sailing school a stone throw away. The Boesmanland Plaaskombuis is another venue offering delicious farm style dining in a scenic and historic part of the coast that does not require much in the way of travel.

Calypso Beach also provides the life style for the more active person as runners and strollers can use the beach area or the walkway in front of the estate. Access to the Langebaan lagoon can be found at various points all the way to Shark Bay and is used for all sort of water sports with kite boarding being extremely popular.
