The total extent of Helderberg Village is about 113,6 ha. There are 177 own title properties (19%) in the Helderberg Village suburb and 742 sectional title properties (81%). The median land size for own title property is 604 sq.m. and for sectional title properties 170 sq.m. The median price obtained in 2010 for own title properties had been R2 050 000 and for sectional title properties R3 200 000.

Between 2005 and 2009 142 own title properties and between 2006 and 2009 84 sectional title property were sold in Helderberg Village - i.e. an annual average of 28 own title properties and 28 sectional title property. Own title sales volumes between 2009 (7 houses) and 2010 (19 houses) increased by 171%. Sales volumes for own title property in 2010 were 32% below the annual average of 28 homes sold in the suburb. Total sales for own title property in Helderberg Village during 2010 has been R32,339 million whilst 2009 sales totaled R10,795 million - i.e. a year on year increase of 199%. Average total sales volumes in Helderberg Village during the period 2005 to 2009 has been R31 255 044 p.a. The R32,339 million total sales achieved in 2010 is therefore 3,5% higher than the average annual total sales volumes between 2005 and 2009.

The three highest prices achieved to date for own title properties in Helderberg Village has been R3,475 million (2008), R3,4 million (2007) and R2,95 million (2006 & 2010) and for sectional title properties R5,5 million (2009). The lowest price obtained for an own title property during 2010 has been R685 000 and for sectional title property R3 200 000. 

Helderberg Village experienced a drop of 18,9% in median prices for sectional title property between 2009 and 2010 - decreasing from R3 947 500 to R3 200 000. At the same time Helderberg Village however experience an increase in median prices of 21,3% between 2009 and 2010 - growing from R1 690 000 to R2 050 000. The growth in median prices for own title property between 2005 (R740 000) and 2009 (R1 690 000) has been 128,4% - i.e. an annual growth rate of 25,7% which is one of the highest annual growth rates in Somerset West during the last 5 years. The growth in median prices for sectional title property between 2006 (R2 495 000) and 2010 (R3 200 000) has been 28,3% - i.e. an annual growth rate of 7,1%.

There has been a 29,1% growth in average prices of sectional title property in Helderberg Village between 2006 (R2 478 968) and 2010 (R3 200 000) - that is an annual growth rate of 7,3%. The growth in average prices for own title property between 2005 (R777 167) and 2010 (R1 702 052) has been 119% - i.e. an annual growth rate of 23,8%.

Sales statistics regarding the ratio of bonded vs cash sales in Helderberg Village varied from 22,6% cash sales in 2005 to 79% cash sales in 2010. ABSA bank has with 42,9 % the largest bond share in own title property in Helderberg Village (Nedbank 5,7% / Standard Bank 32,4% / FNB 13,3%).
